[127] A Childhood Wound & A Blue Flame
"Because I *&#ing hate myself." Lisa Tighe describes a moment when all the feelings of abandonment and loneliness come to a head at an NLP training, where she was the guinea pig. She called the epiphany a "bolt from the blue" even though it seemed obvious to everyone else around her. The insight catalyzed a change in her life, and her wound became the fuel for her Blue Flame - helping others transform their pain.

Lisa joins us again, talking about her childhood wound, which she reiterates wasn't reality as much as it was her interpretation of it, eventually led her to her Blue Flame of purpose, working with NLP and Energy Healing. Nurturing, something she felt she was lacking, has become one of her signature areas of focus.

We're always exercising our power, but according to Lisa Tighe we have to learn how to turn it around and make it useful instead of destructive. We are meaning makers, but that meaning doesn't always serve us in adulthood as it might have in childhood. Finding new meaning turns our power around.

Lisa Tighe never set out to start a business. Merely interested in NLP for what it could do for her, she found herself at a sudden crossroads where other NLP course attendees encouraged her to stake her claim in the business world over a couple of bottles of wine.

[134] Watch Me!
In yesterday's episode, Lisa tells us that she started her business over a couple of bottles of wine and an encouraging conversation. With little more than a burning interest in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and a brand new web domain, Lisa says, "Watch me!" with a bit of a challenge more to herself than to the world at large.
