{9} Something is waiting for you
Doodle, Drawing, Masterpiece?
💭All of the Above
Hello Genius,
A few years ago, I built something I loved.
It was called Doodles and Daydreams — a practice that combined the grounding power of pen on paper with guided visualization. I had a philosophy, a curriculum, a coined term with etymology I was proud of, and a small but eager audience beginning to gather.
And then life moved me. Literally. Fifteen hundred miles, poor internet, emotional upheaval, and a practice that quietly folded its wings and waited.
I didn't know it was waiting. I thought it was gone. Not only that I thought I had given it up and forgot to grieve its loss.
A few weeks ago. I picked up a pen again and started doodling. And something came back so easily it surprised me — which is exactly what this practice promises and exactly what I had forgotten.
In reconnecting with my doodling practice, I realized that Doodles and Daydreams was always meant to be part of Every Day Genius. It just needed the butterfly.
So I'm bringing it back.
Every Day Genius presents... Doodles and Daydreams A 5-Day ZenDally™ Workshop
June 8–12 · 10am CT · Zoom · $10 Registration closes June 1st
Five days. Five sessions. One butterfly outline that we'll fill together — wing by wing, day by day — Monday through Friday when you'll end up holding a completed map that you made with your own hand. A work of art and a Genius map.
No art experience needed. No special supplies. Just a pen, a journal, and yourself exactly as you are.
I wrote about what this practice is really about today — the small strokes, the resistance, the masterpiece that's already in progress. Go read it here: [The Art of Genius]

And if something in you already knows it's time to pick up the pen again, or for the very first time — come join us.
Registration closes June 1st. Spots are limited.
Need more information?

Nevertheless, I am willing.

I am ready to take the show on the road!
I will be traveling to California mid to late May and hope to present a workshop or two while I'm there. I already have a line on one. Mostly I'll be celebrating my oldest daughter's graduation from university, spending time with her and her sister, my other daughter, and spending time with family and friends.
I am also looking for podcasts to appear on! Do you know of any aligned with Every Day Genius? I'd love to know more if you've got more information. I am prepared to do my homework and properly pitch and share once published. 🩵
